MTM machines have many configurations and new configurations are being designed everyday. Evolving from a lathe with basic milling capabilities, these multiple spindle and multiple turrets equipped with live tooling and a Y-axis can truly save valuable set-up time. Maybe you would opt for the B-axis head, tool changer, and lower turret or turrets, and have a very efficient combination to say the least. Add a bar feeder and parts catcher to enjoy some lights out running from these machine tool marvels.

Machining Centers have evolved into a new breed of machines over the last several years as well. Like MTM, there are many different configurations. Let’s just start off by adding a 4 or 5 axis rotary table. How about an articulating head on a bridge machine? Maybe you would like a 5 axis horizontal? How about an articulating head with a rotary table that will allow XYZ and ABC movement? Add a pallet changer, a pallet pool system, or maybe even robotics. The endless combinations can be mind-numbing.
